Jonathan White MRICS MCIOB RMaPS - Director

Jonathan has nearly 30 years of experience within the construction industry gained from consultancy and contracting roles, encompassing project co-ordination, cost management, contract management, employer's agent, contract administration, sub-contract procurement and project monitoring on a spectrum of construction projects, from inception to completion, using various procurement methods and forms of contract.

This experience provides a comprehensive understanding of the design and construction processes and the roles and responsibilities of the consultants, specialist organisations, contractors and sub-contractors involved.

With commercialism gained from a quantity surveying background, the ability to take a strategic view whilst dealing with detail, contractual knowledge attained from client and contractor perspectives, an empathy with clients' requirements and the ability to impart these requirements to project team members, Jonathan's experience has been demonstrated to be extremely beneficial to clients in relation to their construction projects.

Marc Staal BSc (Hons) MRICS - Senior Surveyor

Marc has almost 20 years of experience in consultancy roles including project co-ordination, quantity surveying, cost management, contract preparation, employer's agent, contract administration, project monitoring and expert witness on a wide range of construction projects utilising various procurement routes and forms of contract.

Marc's broad technical, contractual and managerial experience provides a good understanding of the design and construction processes and the roles and responsibilities of consultants, specialist organisations, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers.

This experience, combined with strong client focus and a proactive attitude has been beneficial to, and appreciated by, many clients.

Peter Swift BSc MSc - Project Surveyor

Peter has gained experience in a consultancy role including planning, project co-ordination, quantity surveying, cost management, contract preparation, employer’s agent, contract administration, project monitoring and CDM Co-ordination on a range of construction projects utilising various procurement routes and forms of contract.

Peter’s contractual and managerial experience provides a good understanding of the design and construction processes and the roles and responsibilities of consultants, specialist organisations, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers.

The combination of undertaking different roles within a range of projects, a keen work ethic and a strong client focus have helped towards providing Align’s clients with a high level of service throughout the pre-construction, construction and post construction phases.

Sarah-Louise Witchell - Assistant Surveyor

Sarah is currently in the second year of studying for a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying Consultancy degree at Kingston University with the aim of becoming chartered soon after graduating in 2015.

Sarah has gained experience through working for Align part time for two years and full time for over a year, partaking in a range of different projects from social housing to luxury developments.

Jill White - Company Secretary

Jill’s knowledge of the construction industry spans many years via her support of the Company’s founder during his career progression; this knowledge has been put to good use since 2007 when Jill was appointed as Align’s Company Secretary. Jill’s additional experience is that of many years working with a well known bank; this experience has been useful to Align in terms of financial control, customer service, training and development of staff and employment matters.
